Nokia in collaboration with the Center for Ubiquitous Computing is recruiting a Master’s Thesis worker, on the topic of “Multidimensional data visualization with AR”, starting from November 2017.

Work description and objectives
Name of the thesis work “’Multidimensional data visualization with AR”.
-Create a Proof of Concept environment that combines the advantages of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and physical reality.
-Define and document the requirements and architecture for an environment where 3D Graphical User Interfaces interactive with physical reality are enabled over cloud, accessible with both Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
-Obtain and provide technical expertise from and for the group creating the environment described above, and verify it with a chosen target group.
-Act as a technical specialist for the group creating the environment. As an additional property, the thesis worker can experiment in visualizing multiple users teleconferencing in Virtual Reality.
-The exact content of work will be agreed with the applicant.
Requirements & Skills
-SW architect competence; Graphics programming, 3D modeling, AR, VR, C sharp or Javacript.
-Knowledge about the data bases.
-Ability to find and apply the existing interfaces or specify such between cloud and application.
-Familiar with version control practices.
-Unity; ability to create proprietary content, and ability to utilize public resource creating team.
-Ability to steer work of oneself and others.
-Data analysis and visualisation; PCA Bi-plot, t-SNE
