UBICOMP is recruiting 2 part-time research assistants- Project STOP

The Center for Ubiquitous Computing (https://ubicomp.oulu.fi) is recruiting 2 part-time Research Assistants to work on Academy of Finland project STOP.

The positions are available at the Center for Ubiquitous Computing at the University of Oulu (https://ubicomp.oulu.fi), and the successful candidates will work within the Community Instrumentation and Awareness Group, under the scope of project STOP (https://ubicomp.oulu.fi/stop-sentient-tracking-of-parkinsons-funded-by-the-academy-of-finland-ict-2023-programme/), financed by the Academy of Finland. The research will focus on the development of mobile and wearable software with the objective of tracking and monitoring human behaviour and wellbeing (depression, Parkinson’s). Main responsibilities include development and testing of software according to specific requirements. Highly motivated and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, particularly those with experience in either Android or iOS programming. Candidates will work with Android Wear, and Apple iWatch. Other desired skills include web development experience and interface design.

-Start date: February 2018.

-Duration: February- May 2018 (possibility of extension)

-Location of work: Oulu, Finland.

-Eligibility: Must hold a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

-Salary: salary level 1/5, (according to the university salary system, teaching and research personnel).

-Schedule: Fixed term, part-time (25%), from February 2018- May 2018; possibility of extension until December 2018.
